Repeaters

The Bitbus repeaters are used for signal regeneration and
amplification in order to operate a Bitbus system on
distances more than 1200 meters at transmission speed of
65.2 Kbps or more than 300 meters at transmission speed of
375Kbps.
Additional repeaters are used to regenerate the Bitbus signal,
when the no. of Bitbus slaves connected in a system
becomes more than 27 slaves.
Finally Repeaters can be used as isolaters, preventing
transients from propagating from one area to another in a
Bitbus system or to offer isolation, if slaves are placed in
different areas having different ground potential.
Repeaters uses RS485 communication and can be mounted
in both traditional cable wired systems as well as in Optical
fibre systems.
