Gateways are communication devices offering
translation or protocol conversion between the Bitbus system
and a third
party piece of hardware, typical a PLC.
The BITBUS™ module comes with one RS232 or one
RS422/
RS485 port for serial data communication.
Normal expansion modules with digital or analogue
input/output can be connected independent of the serial
ports.
