Even the standard models of the M12 ultrasonic sensors have an extremely narrow projection cone. With acoustic lens attachments, the spread can be reduced even more and reduced to < 3,5 mm at close range. In this way, the sonic energy can be directed through cut-outs or into narrow openings.

The mini ultrasonic sensors are therefore ideal for level measurements in microtitration plates, test tubes and blister packages. With a resolution of 0,3 mm, even the smallest level changes can be easily detected. Models with PNP switched outputs and with 0-10 VDC analogue signals are available. The switching point, desired measuring range and the polarity of the analogue signal can be configured conveniently via the external teach-in input.
