Descpription:

The laser distance sensor 12 series sets a new standard for the size of optical measuring laser sensors. Now it is possible to make high accuracy, non-contact measurements when space is at a premium. Despite its small dimensions of 12x37x34 mm, no features from its larger counterparts are missing.

Two measuring ranges (16-26 mm and 16-120 mm) are available with a resolution down to 2 μm. The analog current output (4-20 mA) can be scaled to indicate the measuring distance. Even the teachable measuring range feature is offered by the OADM 12. The teach-in procedure can be achieved by the builtin teach button or via the external teach-in wire.

The sensor’s measuring values are nearly independent of color and surface texture and offer an excellent degree of linearity.Even the response time of this the little sensor reaches the same 0.9 ms value as its big brother. The OADM 12 offers everything a fast, automated measuring application needs.

Smallest laser distance sensor
Because of its small size, the sensor can be mounted just on the gripper of handling systems or it is now possible to measure distance where until
now the space was not available.

Aligned, reproducible laser beam
The beam of each sensor will be individual adjusted (focus) and aligned (output angle < 1°). Thus the sensor can be replaced with out problems.

Resolution up to 2μm
In the narrow range the sensor has a resolution up to 2μm.

Teach-in
Within the nominal measuring range the range can be individually taught. For the taught range the entire output signal (4-20mA) is available.

Fast response time (< 900μs)
The response time for black, dark objects is max. 900μs. On the other hand for bright, white objects the response time decline down to 250μs.

Die cast housing and glass optics
The rugged die cast housing and the accurate glass optics are inline with the expectation of the customer for a high quality, highly accurate measuring
unit.
