With the line sensor ParCon, we now have the ideal sensor for
accurate side measurement of a web edge or to measure the upper edge
of a material stack.
The continuous 25 mm wide parallel beam projected between the sensor
and the reflector permits extremely fast detection of edges.
Measurement is accurate, regardless of whether the object is thick
or thin or whether it is located close to the sensor or directly in
front of the reflector.
Object widths can be measured with a resolution of 0,1 mm using this
unique sensor. The output is an industry standard analogue value
(4...20 mA). Due to its small size, the sensor can be easily
integrated into virtually any machine.
The sensor can also be supplied with a switching output on request.
Whether used to monitor the part ejection of stamping/punching
machines, as a counter for small parts packing machines, or to
monitor the infeed of handling machines, nothing escapes the new
optical line sensor.
With a scanning rate of up to 4 kHz, even small, fast moving parts
down to 0,5 mm can be reliably detected. The minimum detected part
size can also be defined by a simple teach-in process. Two versions
are available: reflector bar fitted longitudinally to the sensor or
alternatively at an angle of 90°.
